The death has occurred quite suddenly, last Sunday evening, 1st March, of Monsignor Brian Michael Canon Halloran, past President of the Scalan Association (2002-2010). The above photo shows him after celebrating Mass in The Scalan at the 2008 AGM.
He was the driving force behind acquiring Sandy's house and the agricultural buildings close, the surrounding land and the fence which now delineates the property.
His body is due to be received into Saint Mary, Star of the Sea, Constitution Street, Leith, EH6 6AW, this Sunday 8 March at 6.00pm with the Funeral Mass on Monday at noon. May he rest in peace.
