Draft SCIO Constitution

Here we have provided a draft copy of the SCIO Constitution for The Scalan Association.

Our Constitution is the governing document of The Scalan Association. It defines how the Association is managed and ran by the Committee with input from the Membership to approve, amend and/or reject proposals by the committee.

In 2022 a two-tier SCIO (Scottish Constituted Incorporated Organisation) constitution was put to the Membership at the Annual General Meeting and approved.

Due to recent discussions around the sustainability of the committee and the Association as a whole, the constitution has been reviewed. From this review the committee wish to put forward for approval, amendments that will make the Association stronger and more sustainable moving forward.

You can download the draft constitution with the new proposed amendments here.

A draft Code of Conduct can be downloaded here.

An Extraordinary General Meeting will be held on Saturday 21st November at 1pm, at the Saint Michael's Centre, Tomintoul to review, discuss and approve/reject the amendments.

If you have any questions about the draft constitution, the Code of Conduct or the EGM please contact scalanassociation@gmail.com.
